ABOUT THE WINE
"Le Ragnaie is a dynamic, high-quality estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, owned by Riccardo Campinoti since 2002. Spanning 28 hectares (with about 23 ha of vineyards), the domaine practices organic farming and focuses on producing pure, elegant, terroir-driven Brunello. Its vineyards are among the highest in the appellation (up to 600-620m), located in different micro-terroirs with sandy, sandstone, and limestone-rich soils that impart freshness and minerality. The Brunello di Montalcino 2020 is 100% Sangiovese, crafted in a classical yet transparent style with long maceration and careful oak ageing. The outstanding 2020 vintage delivers fragrant aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, dried rose, violet, sweet herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, refined tannins, juicy red fruit, mineral notes, and a mouthwatering, saline finish. Elegant, energetic, and highly drinkable, it offers excellent aging potential."
