ABOUT THE WINE

Bellavista is the name of the hill where the winery is located. From here, the viewer’s gaze takes in lake Iseo, the Po valley and the nearby Aips. The penultimate glaciation created an amphitheater ringed by morainic hills, stretching from the Alpine foothills of Lombardy to the shores of lake Iseo and Mount Orfano: a stronghold that shields the area against the fog that creeps up from the Po valley. An oasis of sunlight, water and energy that makes the expression of local viticulture unique, with a mediterranean-subalpine climate, mild and well-ventilated.
A great cuvée aspiring to express the memory of the soil of Franciacorta and its perpetual renewal. A point of convergence for memory and vision, past and future. Clearly, only the best selections can become part of this exclusive blend: the best soils, the best exposures, the best grapes, the best fresh-pressed juices of each year. The bunches of the oldest vines are fermented in small white oak casks, while the extensive elevage sur lies calls for the use of cork caps.

TASTING NOTE:

The wine is a deep, lustruous yellow, topped by a lush and creamy foam and enriched by an interminably persistent bead. An ample and kaleidoscopic array of aromas is in perpetual transformation, morphing from ripe yellow fruit to polyfloral honey, from pastry to candied citrus fruit, all the way to fleeting hints of smokiness and bay leaves. Impressive coherence on the palate, with a dense, creamy, generous and rich mouthfeel, a very long persistence and aftertaste. In this context, acidity plays a key role in supporting and carrying the flavors along, providing freshness and longevity.
