Bellavista, founded in 1977 by Vittorio Moretti in Erbusco, Lombardy, is a cornerstone of Franciacorta’s sparkling wine legacy. Spanning 207 hectares across 107 vineyards, the winery harnesses the region’s glacial soils and mild climate near Lake Iseo to craft world-class sparkling wines. Under Francesca Moretti and winemaker Richard Geoffroy, formerly of Dom Pérignon, Bellavista blends tradition with innovation. Its 1,500,000-bottle annual production follows organic viticulture, emphasizing hand-harvesting and manual riddling. Bellavista Riserva Vittorio Moretti Franciacorta Extra Brut DOCG 2016 is a blend of 62% Chardonnay and 38% Pinot Noir from 10 top vineyard parcels. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, with 100% of the must fermented in small oak barrels for eight months. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation and ages on lees for seven years, with manual disgorging and no dosage. With a 12.5% ABV, it boasts a fine, persistent perlage. This limited-production cuvée, crafted only in exceptional vintages, highlights Franciacorta’s limestone-rich terroir and Bellavista’s commitment to complexity.

The 2016 Riserva Vittorio Moretti dazzles with a deep straw-yellow hue and fine, creamy bubbles. Its bouquet is complex, offering refined notes of dried apricot, acacia honey, and white flowers, with hints of brioche and roasted hazelnut.
