ABOUT THE WINE

Château Calon Ségur stands as one of Bordeaux's most historic and prestigious estates, located in the northernmost reaches of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. This Third Growth classified château is renowned for its distinctive heart-shaped label and its motto "I make wine at Lafite and Latour, but my heart belongs to Calon". The estate's history dates back to the 12th century, making it one of the oldest documented wine producers in the Médoc region. Under the ownership of Marquis Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur in the 18th century, it became part of an impressive portfolio that included Lafite, Latour, and Mouton Rothschild.

The Château Calon Ségur Saint-Estèphe 2005 presents itself as a masterful blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, crafted in the traditional style of Saint-Estèphe.
