ABOUT THE WINE
Le C de Calon Ségur is the third wine of prestigious Château Calon Ségur in Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux. Formerly known as La Chapelle de Calon and later Le Saint-Estèphe de Calon Ségur, it adopted its current name beginning with the 2019 vintage. The wine is a blend of 53% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Cabernet Franc.
TASTING NOTE:
It has a deep ruby color and aromas of black fruit, cassis, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied with well-structured tannins and flavors of black cherry, plum, and a hint of tobacco. The wine has a long, smooth finish and is considered to be a good value for the quality of the wine.
