Domaine Courtault-Michelet is a family-run estate in Chablis, founded in 1984 by Stéphanie Courtault and her husband Vincent Michelet. Located in Lignorelles northwest of Chablis, it spans about 28 hectares across Petit Chablis, Chablis, and Premier Cru sites, including the renowned Mont de Milieu climat on steep, well-exposed Kimmeridgian limestone slopes rich in fossil oysters. Now in its second generation, the domaine emphasizes terroir-driven, precise Chardonnay with minimal intervention. The 2023 Chablis is a fine, age-worthy Premier Cru: pale golden hue with aromas of grapefruit, white flowers, ripe apricot, almonds, and subtle lemon. The palate reveals vibrant minerality, gunflint/flint notes, complex citrus, ripe fruit, and crisp acidity leading to a long, elegant finish.
