ABOUT THE WINE
Poggio al Tesoro is a prestigious estate in Bolgheri, Tuscany, founded in 2001 by the renowned Allegrini family (Marilisa and late brother Walter) from Valpolicella. Spanning ~70 hectares near the Tyrrhenian Sea, it produces elegant Super Tuscans and whites, with a focus on terroir and sustainability. Solosole is Marilisa's favorite, embodying Bolgheri's coastal essence. 100% Vermentino (Corsican clones) from Le Sondraie vineyard on sandy-gravel-clay soils at low altitude. Hand-harvested, soft pressing, stainless steel fermentation (no malolactic), aged on lees. Bright straw yellow; aromas of peach, apricot, citrus, white flowers, flint, and Mediterranean herbs. Crisp, mineral palate with vibrant acidity, stone fruit, salinity, and elegant length.
