ABOUT THE WINE
Spinyback is a winery located in the Nelson region of New Zealand's South Island. The winery was established in 1990. Spinyback is named in honour of New Zealand’s Tuatara (‘spiny back’ in Māori ). Spinyback wines are made in a fresh and fruit driven style, with a typically softer acid profile they are perfect for sharing at after-work drinks or for casual weekend gatherings.
TASTING NOTE:
Spinyback Chardonnay Hawke's Bay suggest that it has a pale gold color with aromas of tropical fruit, such as pineapple and mango, as well as citrus notes and a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with flavors of ripe fruit, a touch of oak, and a refreshing acidity.
FOOD PAIRING:
The wine has a clean and crisp finish, making it a great wine to pair with seafood, poultry, and salads.
