ABOUT THE WINE
Sileni Estates is a family-owned winery located in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. The winery was founded in 1997 by Graeme Avery, who named the winery after the Sileni, mythical creatures from Greek mythology who were known for their love of wine. The Lodge Chardonnay is grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle and Mangatahi sub-regions of Hawke’s Bay. The warm, even growing conditions of Bridge Pa contrast with cooler conditions at Mangatahi. These different growing conditions produce very different fruit, allowing us to create a wine with layers of flavour, complexity and interest.
TASTING NOTE:
Rich aromas of ripe stone fruit, citrus and toasted almond. The palate is textured and rich, with powerful fruit concentration overlying well integrated oak and finely balanced acidity.

Enjoy with smoked salmon, seafood chowder or a creamy pasta.
