Spinyback is a winery located in the Nelson region of New Zealand's South Island. The winery was established in 1990. Spinyback is named in honour of New Zealand’s Tuatara (‘spiny back’ in Māori ). Spinyback wines are made in a fresh and fruit driven style, with a typically softer acid profile they are perfect for sharing at after-work drinks or for casual weekend gatherings.
