ABOUT THE WINE
Spinyback is a winery located in the Nelson region of New Zealand's South Island. The winery was established in 1990. Spinyback is named in honour of New Zealand’s Tuatara (‘spiny back’ in Māori ). Spinyback wines are made in a fresh and fruit driven style, with a typically softer acid profile they are perfect for sharing at after-work drinks or for casual weekend gatherings.
TASTING NOTE:
Spinyback Pinot Gris is known for its bright, fresh flavors and aromas, which are characteristic of the Pinot Gris grape variety. The wine has notes of ripe pear, apple, and stone fruit, with a hint of spice and a crisp acidity. It is typically unoaked, which allows the fruit flavors to shine through.
