Bellavista is the name of the hill where the winery is located. From here, the viewer’s gaze takes in lake Iseo, the Po valley and the nearby Aips. The penultimate glaciation created an amphitheater ringed by morainic hills, stretching from the Alpine foothills of Lombardy to the shores of lake Iseo and Mount Orfano: a stronghold that shields the area against the fog that creeps up from the Po valley. An oasis of sunlight, water and energy that makes the expression of local viticulture unique, with a mediterranean-subalpine climate, mild and well-ventilated.
From label to packaging, everything was conceived out of respect for tradition and extreme loyalty to the identity of the Teatro, and, at the same time, with a La Scala-like desire to bring innovation and suggest new visual approaches. The label resumes the uphoistery patterns and is framed by a reproduction of the frieze in the Theatre’s insignia and in many of the decorations. The box combines the sternness of the façade of the building, built in 1788 by Architect Giuseppe Piermarini in line with the purest neo-classical style, and the vivaciousness of the patterns in the fabrics covering the walls and ceilings of the boxes.
The vineyards were selected based on exposure (South and South-East), elevation (from 180 to 350m asl) and age of the vines (on average, 25 years old). Part of the base wine ferments and ages in small white oak barrels (228l), part in steel tanks.
The superfine bead creates fascinating, continuous whirls and forms persistent mousse. Bright, weightless, transparent, deep yellow, with the green hihlights typical of youth. A classic style, with sweet notes of ripe white-fleshed fruit from the hilltops. Hints of white almonds and pastry, candied citrus fruit and fresh whitethorn and elderberry blossom. Elegant yet powerful attack, associated with exuberant, dynamic and harmonious freshness. Complex, multifaceted, supple texture, with a distinctively expressive verticality and energy. Extremely persistent. A new emotion boud to last.
