ABOUT THE WINE
Domaine Lécheneaut is a respected family estate based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, founded in the late 1950s by Fernand Lécheneaut. Today, the domaine farms about 10-11 hectares across prestigious Côte de Nuits appellations and produces pure, expressive Burgundies with careful vineyard management (recently moving toward organic practices). Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Blanc 2022 is sourced from Chardonnay vines on higher-elevation, south-facing slopes in the Hautes Côtes. These cooler, limestone and clay-limestone terroirs at around 350m altitude provide excellent drainage and sun exposure, yielding fresh yet characterful white wines. The 2022 vintage reveals charming aromas of hawthorn, honeysuckle, green apple, lemon, and hazelnut. On the palate, it offers a rich, buttery texture balanced by vibrant acidity, notes of white fruit and subtle oak, with a mineral, refreshing finish. A delightful, great-value Burgundy white that pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry, or creamy cheeses.
