Maison Lou Dumont is an artisanal micro-négociant founded in 2000 by Japanese winemaker and former sommelier Koji Nakada and his Korean wife Jae Hwa Park. Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, they craft pure, terroir-driven Burgundies with minimal intervention, sourcing from sustainably and organically farmed vineyards. Ladoix 2022 is a classic red Burgundy from the northern edge of the Côte de Beaune. This village-level appellation features Pinot Noir grown on limestone-rich soils with marl and stony outcrops, delivering elegant yet structured wines that often echo the power of nearby Corton. The 2022 vintage shines with ripe red and dark cherry, strawberry, subtle spice, earth, and floral notes. On the palate, it offers juicy fruit, fine tannins, bright acidity, and a savory mineral finish — charming, balanced, and approachable now while possessing good aging potential. A beautiful introduction to authentic Burgundy at an accessible level.
