ABOUT THE WINE
Domaine Geantet-Pansiot is a respected family estate in Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte de Nuits, founded in 1954 when Edmond Geantet married Bernadette Pansiot and began with 7 acres of vines. Their son Vincent joined in 1977 and took over in 1989; now the third generation, including Fabien, continues the tradition. The domaine has expanded to around 22 hectares, focusing on Gevrey-Chambertin (including premier crus) plus plots in Chambolle-Musigny and higher-altitude Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, with emphasis on finesse, gentle extraction, and balanced oak. The 2023 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge is a vibrant, expressive Pinot Noir from cooler, elevated parcels: bright ruby hue with a fragrant nose of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, subtle violets, spice, and floral notes.
