Château Marquis de Terme is a historic Fourth Growth in the prestigious Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, classified in 1855. Its story began in 1762 as a marriage dowry gifted to François de Peguilhan, Marquis de Terme. The estate has been family-owned by the Sénéclauze family since 1935, with modern dynamism under Ludovic David, blending tradition with innovation on its gravelly terroir. The 2016 vintage is a standout: deep ruby color with aromas of fresh summer berries, slate, toasty oak, black cherry, licorice, spice, and floral notes. On the palate, it's lush, silky, and polished—ripe red/black fruits, smooth tannins, vibrant freshness, and a long, elegant finish. Balanced and approachable now, yet with strong aging potential.
