Domaine Courtault-Michelet, based in Lignorelles, Chablis, was formed in 2021 by merging Domaine Jean-Claude Courtault (founded 1984) with that of daughter Stéphanie and husband Vincent Michelet. This family estate spans ~27-29 hectares on iconic Kimmeridgian limestone soils, practicing sustainable (near-organic) viticulture for pure terroir expression. 100% Chardonnay from 30+ year-old vines on clay-limestone, south/south-west exposure. Fermented and aged 10 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness. Alcohol ~12.5%. Pale gold; fine, fruity nose with citrus, peach, apricot, and exotic hints. Vibrant, tense palate with intense minerality, generous fruit, refreshing acidity, and a structured, mineral finish.
