La Mission Lalande-de-Pomerol 2020 is a refined red wine from a small, family-owned 2-hectare vineyard on the southwestern edge of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, bordering Pomerol. Crafted by the Garde-Lasserre family, this blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Malbec comes from 40-year-old vines on loess and ferric clay soils. The 2020 vintage offers a ruby hue with aromas of ripe red fruits, undergrowth, and hints of mint and eucalyptus. Its silky, full-bodied palate delivers rich fruit, smooth tannins, and a fresh, lingering finish, making it approachable yet age-worth.
