Olivier Leflaive is a respected name in Burgundy, part of the historic Leflaive family with roots dating back to 1717 in Puligny-Montrachet. In 1984, Olivier founded his own négociant house, specializing in elegant, terroir-driven Chablis and Côte de Beaune whites. “Les Deux Rives” (The Two Banks) is a classic village Chablis cuvée sourced from vineyards on both sides of the Serein River, showcasing the diverse expressions of the appellation’s Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils rich in fossilized oyster shells. The 2022 vintage offers a beautiful balance of freshness, fruit, and minerality. It displays bright aromas of lemon, pear, green apple, and white peach, with subtle floral and saline notes. On the palate, it is crisp and tensioned with vibrant acidity, pure fruit flavors, characteristic flinty minerality, and a clean, refreshing finish. A pure, versatile Chablis ideal with seafood or as an aperitif.
