La Spinetta is a family-owned winery located in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. The winery was founded in 1977 by Giuseppe and Lidia Rivetti, and today it is run by their three sons: Carlo, Bruno, and Giorgio. La Spinetta's vineyards cover a total of 165 hectares, with most of the vines located in the Langhe area. The winery produces a wide range of wines, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, Moscato d'Asti, and various white wines.
The Garretti vineyard is one of the few parcels of the entire denomination that is entirely exposed to the south. It enjoys extraordinary ventilation thanks to the distance that separates it from the opposite hill. This guarantees an exceptional temperature range even in the hottest years. The cru’s diverse soil composition contributes to creating wines with exceptional harmony.
