ABOUT THE WINE

Borgogno is an Italian winery located in the Piedmont region, specifically in the town of Barolo. The winery was founded by Bartolomeo Borgogno in 1761, making it one of the oldest wineries in the region. Borgogno is known for its traditional Barolo wines, which are made from the Nebbiolo grape variety and aged for several years before release. Timorasso is an indigenous grape variety that almost disappeared in the 20th century but has experienced a revival in recent years. It produces full-bodied white wines with complex aromas and flavors. The wines made from Timorasso grapes are known for their rich texture, high acidity, and ability to age well. The Colli Tortonesi region, located in the southeastern part of Piedmont, is known for its hilly terrain and diverse soils, which contribute to the unique character of the wines produced there.
