ABOUT THE WINE
Domaine Lecheneaut is a family-owned winery located in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy, France. The winery was established in 1976 by brothers Philippe and Vincent Lecheneaut, who inherited vineyards from their father. Today, the winery is run by Vincent's son, Nicolas, who continues the family tradition of producing high-quality wines.
The Aligoté grape is a lesser-known grape variety in Burgundy and is often overshadowed by the more famous Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. However, Domaine Lecheneaut's Bourgogne Aligoté 2021 showcases the unique characteristics of this grape variety.
TASTING NOTE:
The wine has a pale yellow color and a delicate aroma of citrus and green apple, with hints of white flowers. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing with flavors of green apple, lemon, and a hint of minerality. It has a medium body and a clean finish.
