ABOUT THE WINE
Domaine Lecheneaut is a family-owned winery located in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy, France. The winery was established in 1976 by brothers Philippe and Vincent Lecheneaut, who inherited vineyards from their father. Today, the winery is run by Vincent's son, Nicolas, who continues the family tradition of producing high-quality wines.
The Morey-Saint-Denis appellation is located in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits and is known for producing elegant and well-structured red wines. Domaine Lecheneaut's Morey Saint Denis Rouge 2019 is no exception.
TASTING NOTE:
The wine has a bright ruby color and a complex aroma of red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry, with hints of spice and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a silky texture and flavors of red and black fruit, along with notes of vanilla and oak. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, and the wine has a long, smooth finish.
