ABOUT THE WINE
La Dame de Montrose is the second wine of the prestigious Château Montrose, located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation in the Bordeaux region of France. The 2011 vintage is a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc.
TASTING NOTE:
The wine has a deep ruby color and aromas of dark fruit, cedar, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with well-structured tannins and flavors of blackcurrant, plum, and tobacco. The wine has a long, smooth finish and is considered to be a good value for the quality of the wine.
