Chateau Saint Christophe is situated on the left bank of the Gironde River. The estate has been recognized as a Cru Bourgeois since 1932. The current owners of the winery are Jean Claude and his son Frederic.
Chateau Saint Christophe has a vineyard area of 20 hectares, consisting of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. The average age of the vines is 35 years, with a planting density ranging from 5500 to 7500 vines per hectare. The winery produces an average of 180,000 bottles per year. After the grapes reach maturity, they are mechanically harvested and then undergo manual sorting before fermentation.
This Bourgeois cru from the Northern Médoc has a broad aromatic palette with delicious flavours. The Château Saint Christophe is a true olfactory journey in itself, you will love its sweet and long finish that is reminiscent of the Bordeaux Grand Crus.
It will be greatly appreciated alongside game or a tasty cheese platter! Château Saint Christophe is one of those Médoc properties to count on, as evidenced by this beautiful nectar!
