La Spinetta is a family-owned winery located in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. The winery was founded in 1977 by Giuseppe and Lidia Rivetti, and today it is run by their three sons: Carlo, Bruno, and Giorgio. La Spinetta's vineyards cover a total of 165 hectares, with most of the vines located in the Langhe area. The winery produces a wide range of wines, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, Moscato d'Asti, and various white wines.
It’s safe to say that this wine is the most representative wine from the Casanova estate. Its name ‘Nero’, derives from “vino nero” which is what Tuscan red wines were tradionally called.
